I noticed this while browsing the bikinis as my local store yesterday and was so excited about it I just had to make a blog post. (I always find some great bikinis from there) I haven't yet tried any of the clothes from here but thought I'd give a quick browse over the range for you all to get a better idea of what they have to offer. Here's what they have said about the range on their website:
'At Matalan we understand that good things come in petite packages and we are dedicated to making sure that our favourite pieces are your perfect fit. We've taken our latest designs and changed the proportions to cater to women 5ft 3" and under and all of our products are available in a range of sizes from 6-20. With a selection of ladies dresses, tops and jeans in petite sizes, dressing for your shape has never been easier.'
So, from this it seems they won't be doing certain clothing designs specifically for the petite range which New Look do, however in some ways I like the fact that it allows us petite girls to try on both sizes and see which is best for us! Another thing I particularly like about their petite range so far is the fact that it's such a wide range in sizes. (I can NEVER find wide fit shoes in a size 4)
Here are a few of my favourite pieces from the collection from a first look: (photos taken from website)
Petite Tapered Leg Jumpsuit (£20) |
Petite Straight Leg Jeans (£14) |
Petite Plain Swing Dress (£12) |
Petite Chiffon Panel Box Top (£12) |
I know the pieces I've chosen are very plain, however there isn't a massive range yet and I kind of love understated pieces once in a while. One thing I do want to point out is the fact that the trousers range from a 25" leg to 28", so there's not just one particular length! I can't wait to pick up a pair of their jeans/trousers to see how well they fit me, as at the moment the best ones I've found are from Miss Selfridge and they're not the cheapest! That leads me on to my other point of the fact that all of these pieces are under £30 which I was very pleased to see. Once I've saved up some money, I'm definitely going to have to try out some of the range.
More items are meant to be added soon, so I'll let you know if there's anything in particular that I'd recommend!
Also, side-note sorry for not posting on this blog for over 2 months or something ridiculous like that! A level exam season was upon us, so we hardly had any time to post on here. However, now I promise we will be more prompt with posts and a great deal more will be posted on here regularly!
Till next time,
Natalie x
